Bi Ayers is the founder and owner of BDA Homes, a custom home builder based in Ames, Iowa, built on a simple belief: homeowners deserve to know exactly where their money is going. Born in Hue, Vietnam, and raised with a deep respect for hard work and entrepreneurship, Bi has spent his career building businesses from the ground up and bringing that same disciplined, transparent approach to homebuilding.
With experience behind more than 2,500 homes, Bi and his team bring a level of planning, efficiency, and cost awareness that is rare in the industry. BDA Homes operates on a cost-plus structure with no hidden markups, giving clients the clarity and confidence to make smart decisions throughout the build process.
Bi’s goal is straightforward: deliver homes that balance quality, function, and long-term value, making the dream of an elevated, well-built home accessible to more people in Central Iowa.
Beth Fye
Interior Designer
Beth Fye is the founder and principal designer of Heirloom Design Collective, a residential interior design studio known for creating refined, layered spaces that feel both timeless and deeply personal. With extensive experience in custom new builds and full-scale remodels, Beth collaborates closely with builders and homeowners to guide projects from architectural concept through final installation.
Her approach blends thoughtful material selection, architectural detail, and warm, livable design, resulting in homes that are elevated, enduring, and genuinely reflective of the people who live in them. Beth brings structure and clarity to the building process with clear communication and organization, helping clients feel confident and supported at every stage of the journey.
Kiel Uhl AIA
Architect
Kiel Uhl is a licensed architect, bringing over 15 years of experience across residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects throughout Iowa and beyond. A graduate of Iowa State University’s Bachelor of Architecture program and a longtime member of the American Institute of Architects, Kiel has built a reputation for design that is both purposeful and deeply attuned to each client’s vision.
His background spans custom homes, large-scale development master plans, and adaptive reuse, giving him a rare fluency across project types and scales. Kiel is known for his ability to define project goals clearly and keep communication tight across all team members, resulting in projects that are delivered on time, on budget, and with intention.
